Pintauro.
From 1785 in the heart of Naples
The story continues...
The symbol of the city and the birthplace of the Napolitan sfogliatella began in 1785 in the via Toledo. For more than two centuries, the aromas and the lighted windows of Pintauro have formed part of the collective memory of Naples.
The historic premises, facing onto one of the most beloved streets in the city, holds between wood and marble centuries of memories, bringing to life each day details that have spanned generations: paper doilies, the old eighteenth-century lamp, the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows.
And then, the scent.
The warm, embracing, unmistakable scent of freshly baked Napolitan sfogliatella, that blends with the voices, memories and “struscio” of the via Toledo.
Pintauro is not just a pastry shop.
Pintauro is home.
“It is an emotion that smells like home, pride that speaks Napolitan. Pintauro is a piece of Naples that lives in all our hearts, made up of stories, skilled hands and recipes handed down through the centuries. Here the flavours of our tradition endure, that we prepare each day with love and respect, as an act of love renewed time and again”.

The historic Pasticceria Pintauro is one of the most famous in Naples, situated at the heart of the historical centre, at 275 via Toledo. From 1785 it has been a point of reference for those looking for the authentic Napolitan sfogliatella, ricca and frolla, prepared according to Napolitan traditional craftsmanship. In addition to sfogliatella, the workshop produces babà, pastiera, zeppole and a wide selection of traditionally Napolitan classic sweet and savoury specialities.
